- ➤ A free, family-friendly contra dance is set for Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Coeur d'Alene Library at 702 E. Front Ave, co-hosted by the Spokane Folklore Society and featuring the Huckleberry String Band with caller Penn Fix teaching easy-to-learn dances. Coeur d'Alene Press
- ➤ Chorale Coeur d'Alene celebrated its 25th year by hosting Elements of Design on Jan. 15 at Art Spirit Gallery, where featured soloists and interactive design stations paired music with visual art — a tribute to community creativity. Coeur d'Alene Press
- ➤ About 150 parishioners and local community members gathered at St. Pius X Parish for the Feast of Santo Niño, enjoying prayers, music, dance, and traditional dishes to celebrate Filipino devotion. - ➤ Idaho Department of Education invites organizations to sponsor the 2026 Summer Nutrition Programs for Kids as approved meal sites in eligible areas. - ➤ Northern Lakes Fire Protection District is moving ahead with a new fire station in Garwood at an estimated cost of $1 to $1.2 million plus work is set to finish early 2027 to improve response times and local coverage. Coeur d'Alene Press
