Good morning, Coeur d'Alene.
CDAIDE will host its seventh annual Care Affair event on April 25 at The Coeur d’Alene Resort to raise funds for local hospitality workers facing financial struggles.
The charity gala will feature a smorgasbord of foods by top Sysco chefs, auctions, live music, a no-host bar and appetizers provided by local chefs—proceeds will help cover housing, transportation, utility and medical/dental bills.
The Idaho Transportation Department announced that construction on Highway 54 from State Highway 41 to Greystone Road near Athol will begin soon and that starting next week the right-of-way along the south side— including unofficial off-road trails— will be closed to all traffic for safety during heavy equipment work. The highway expansion will continue through mid-summer with demolition and paving until the project is completed in 2026, eliminating the off-road trail.
Post Falls City Council voted unanimously to explore the C-PACE financing program—this move may allow long-term loans for energy upgrades and new construction while the city collects a 1% service fee, following Coeur d'Alene’s earlier adoption of the program.
