- ➤ On April 11, the 27th annual 3Cs Charity Fashion Show Luncheon will be held at The Coeur d'Alene Resort with 30 local models showcasing spring fashions from Coeur d'Alene boutiques — proceeds from silent auctions and raffles will support local charities. - ➤ On Saturday, a local mom celebrated her 95th birthday while sharing humorous, heartfelt family stories that span her long life — a touching moment captured on video by her daughter. Her lively reflections remind the community that age brings wisdom and a spark of humor. The Spokesman-Review

- ➤ NIC trustees approved buying a property and allocating up to $750,000 for an indoor practice space for sports programs displaced by campus renovations. The board acted today and will hire a third-party expert to plan future facilities— supporting athletic needs and responsible spending. Coeur d'Alene Press
- ➤ Post Falls High School students participated in a reverse job fair on Wednesday at Real Life Ministries where they practiced interviewing for future careers such as computer networking, dog grooming, and barbering, and the event celebrated 20 years of collaboration between the Chamber of Commerce and the school district. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Before today, 22,352 acres of forestland were permanently protected under the Spirit of Mount Spokane Forest Legacy Project. Trust for Public Land, Inland Empire Paper Company, Idaho Department of Lands and the USDA Forest Service partnered using federal funds to secure public access, wildlife habitat and clean drinking water. - ➤ Coeur d’Alene’s Design Review Commission approved the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints temple and meetinghouse plans with conditions to revise external lighting.
