- ➤ American Legion Post 143 honored local heroes at its Saturday night banquet in Post Falls, where about 125 attendees watched as awards were given to law enforcement, fire & medical professionals and Post Falls Mayor Randy Westlund delivered the keynote speech. Coeur d'Alene Press
- ➤ CDAIDE will host its eighth annual Care Affair on April 16 at 5 p.m. at The Coeur d'Alene Resort, featuring live music, a buffet dinner by local chefs, auctions, and a paddle raise to support hospitality workers. Coeur d'Alene Press
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Federal agencies will coordinate with local historic preservation officers (SHPO and THPO) to prepare Historic Property Management Plans that safeguard Silver Valley's mining heritage during cleanup efforts at the Bunker Hill Superfund Site. The plan follows Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act to avoid or mitigate adverse impacts. Coeur d'Alene Press
- ➤ The Idaho Fish and Game Commission has set new bag limits for the spring chinook season, which starts April 25 along the Clearwater River and its forks; the rules allow four fish per day and may be adjusted if the run proves strong. The Spokesman-Review
