- ➤ Hayden resident Virginia Grove shared a 1985 photo of her horse ride through what is now Leisure Park — a route that once passed through open fields and meadows near her home on Orchard Avenue. - ➤ Pastor Tim Remington, the lead pastor at The Altar Church who survived being shot six times on March 16, 2016, will sign copies of Gun Shot Witness: The Tim Remington Story from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Sower Bible Bookstore at 1234 W. Appleway Ave. Coeur d'Alene Press

- ➤ The Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission announced that local artist Melissa Cole has installed Sid The Green Energy Dragon along the Centennial Trail near the Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility. The artwork—named for longtime wastewater employee Sid Frederickson IV—features an open flame and glass mosaic made by community students and will be dedicated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 24 at 7:30 p.m. Coeur d'Alene Press

- ➤ Student Jerren Bailey and Lake City High School art teacher Dawn Myers hung a banner at Skyway Elementary garden after a rough winter damaged the beds that need rebuilding and painting.
