- ➤ Inside the greenhouse at Summit Sprouts in Hayden, owner Hunter Kennedy is showcasing a rare 16-year-old voodoo lily that releases a strong odor of decay and draws curious visitors. - ➤ The Coeur d'Alene Tribe, Regional Chamber and 77 local businesses have partnered to expand a scholarship program that will award 204 high school seniors $1,000 and 10 Strength of Character winners $500 at the Chamber’s April Breakfast Connect on April 22—continuing a 30-year tradition of using 5% of gaming revenues to support education for all eligible students. This milestone effort will give more local students the financial help they need to pursue higher education. Coeur d'Alene Press

- ➤ Residents have seen the tuxedo bug—an insect with a black body and white trim that entered homes last fall—now trying to exit as warmer weather returns. Experts say the bug does not bite or damage property and advise vacuuming them up if many appear to avoid an unpleasant odor when crushed. The Spokesman-Review
