- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game said two elk were illegally shot and partially stripped near the visitor center at Farragut State Park around Friday or Saturday less than 0.5 miles from State Highway 54, and the agency urges anyone with information to contact the Citizens Against Poaching hotline at 1-800-632-5999. - ➤ Today, forest service officials are assessing damaged areas in Kootenai National Forest after recent windstorms left many trees down, using aerial surveys to guide public safety and timber salvage efforts.
