- ➤ The Long Ear, Coeur d'Alene’s record store has run for 53 years and will close on July 3 because its building (1620 N. Government Way) sold last summer, ending its lease. A gun safety training firm, United Defense Tactical, will take over the space next month. The Spokesman-Review

- ➤ Internationally acclaimed pianist and composer Bogdan Ota will perform Chronos – The Master of Time at 6:30 p.m. May 7 at the Kroc Center in Coeur d'Alene.
