Flett Middle School is hosting the third annual Pauline Flett Powwow today, a free event run by students to honor native culture and late Spokane tribal elder Pauline Flett.

Kootenai County and Lakes Highway District officials met on Thursday and agreed to move forward with a one-year lease for the Bayview dock at a rate of $1—an approach aimed at securing an Idaho Department of Lands permit for boating season.
