Nearly 1,000 people gathered for the National Day of Prayer celebration at McEuen Park on Thursday, where pastors offered prayers for local leaders, educators, and law officers — inspiring a hopeful and united spirit among attendees.

Alderwood Landscaping installed a Northwest-themed water feature outside The Coeur d'Alene Resort on Thursday morning with hundreds of red geraniums planted for Mother’s Day and its 40th anniversary.

The project required 2,500 manhours and features waterfalls, driftwood, pine trees, and Wi-Fi controlled lighting.

The graduation section runs on June 3 and features profiles of students overcoming challenges to achieve their dreams, telling stories of resilience and success.

The piece reflects on two decades of inspiring grad profiles and looks forward to celebrating local achievement.
