A tiny spotted skunk in our region defends itself by doing a handstand and puffing its tail when threatened—biologists say this unique act makes it appear larger before it sprays a strong odor.
The species, which is about the size of a tree squirrel, also gives birth to around five young that learn survival skills from watching their mother.
