Around 350 teens, young adults and their families walked Tuesday evening in a youth-led Eucharistic Procession from St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church to McEuen Park to show hope amid world crises.
Owen Keith led the procession with the cross — marking the first such event in nearly four years as church leaders said it served as a public witness of their faith.
The newly remodeled Farragut State Park Museum at the Brig in Athol will reopen Friday, May 23 with new exhibits and a new roof — it will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Labor Day.

Best Ave. in Coeur d'Alene will host a presentation titled 'The Truth About the Vietnam War: 50th Anniversary Commemoration' by William F. Jasper from The New American magazine. He will be joined by retired Marine Col. Kenny Moore and veteran Michael Nguyen—both with firsthand Vietnam experience—and his wife Mary as they discuss war disinformation from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Post Falls City Council decided not to pursue railroad quiet zones after reviews showed that studying them would cost nearly $100,000.
The city will work with railroads to add two new crossings, including one at Chase Road — an effort aimed at safety and noise reduction.
