- ➤ Chatcolet Marina has been upgraded through a $23 million project at Heyburn State Park to add 148 covered boat slips, a fuel dock, paved parking, and boardwalk amenities—making it the busiest access point for the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes. Coeur d'Alene Press
- ➤ Local communities honor Memorial Day weekend with outdoor ceremonies, runs, and veteran tributes. In Coeur d'Alene, Memorial Gardens will host a service at 11 a.m. Monday * offering food and remembrance while regional events include a 5K run and a benefit breakfast. The Spokesman-Review
- ➤ An investment of more than $6,400 expanded downtown’s Flags+Flowers Program with 50 new baskets and 20 added American flags. Volunteers installed over 150 flower baskets last Thursday, brightening Lakeside Ave, Rotary Centennial Park, and local storefronts for the season. Coeur d'Alene Press

- ➤ The Idaho Transportation Department will begin annual bridge maintenance in Coeur d'Alene after Memorial Day weekend, continuing through spring and summer — repairs include joint replacement, paving, sealing and structural fixes — causing lane restrictions with reduced speeds and flagging for drivers. - ➤ Kootenai Health named Kim Ransier and Tag Jacklin to its board on May 5; they will serve three year terms ending in May 2029 to boost the network with their health and business expertise. Coeur d'Alene Press

- ➤ Nearly 150 youth shooters from across Idaho competed in the state championship at Coeur d'Alene Trap and Skeet club from May 14 to May 16, where coaches said the event taught safety + focus and responsibility. Coeur d'Alene Press
- ➤ Former Idaho coach Dennis Erickson was named to the Big Sky Hall of Fame on Thursday. The induction is set for July 25 at Northern Quest Resort and Casino (honoring his coaching success in the 1980s) along with other sports figures. The Spokesman-Review
