- ➤ Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy wrapped its school year as the top high school in town and in Idaho. Ranking No. 29 among national charter schools and serving about 220 students (highlighting strong community support), the school continues its tradition of rigorous college-prep academics. - ➤ Kootenai Health appointed Kim Ransier, a former hospice care executive, and Tag Jacklin, a local real estate developer, to its board on May 5. Each will serve a three-year term ending in May 2029 with an option for another term. The Spokesman-Review

- ➤ Blake Sturgis of the Idaho Vandals qualified for NCAA nationals in javelin on Wednesday at the NCAA West First Round at the University of Arkansas with a 236 ft 7 in throw, marking first Vandal in over a decade to do so; finals are set for June 10 in Eugene. The Spokesman-Review
