Barbara Bennett’s book, Ordinary People, Extraordinary Lives, has been added today to the NIC library by the Kootenai County Genealogical Society to serve as a resource for local history.

The Coeur d’Alene Tribe was selected for the Fiscal Year 2025 Indian Health Service Joint Venture Construction Program to develop a long-term care facility — the first for an Idaho tribe in the lower 48 states.
Tribal leaders say the project will improve culturally centered health care for elders and families.
Shoshone Medical Center introduced flexible endoscopy services through its Speech Therapy department, offering FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) performed by speech therapist Sean Curran.
The service assists in diagnosing swallowing dysfunction, including issues that are common among older adults.
