- ➤ Last weekend, Northwest BachFest concerts honored the late Professor Elizabeth Buxton with a photo montage and a cello performance by Zuill Bailey—when visa issues kept Greek violinist Katarina Chatzinicolau from coming, he arranged for skilled players from the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. The concerts featured six works by Beethoven, Mozart, Reger, and Erno von Dohnanyi to show strong teamwork and skill. The Spokesman-Review

- ➤ Students in the outdoor studies program and Coeur d'Alene Garden Club members finished final touches on Lake City High’s xeriscape garden on Monday – they replanted the garden that had been in place for 13 years and added basalt sitting stools with a $1,500 grant and local expert help.
