On Friday night, thousands watched vintage cars cruise downtown, with models like a 1966 Chevrolet Impala and a 1972 Super Beetle drawing families together—making it a memorable local event.

Today, the Car d’Lane Show and Shine will display hundreds of classic vehicles downtown from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Coeur d'Alene resident Hugo Romero, 43, was sentenced to nine years in prison with parole eligibility after two years for unlawfully possessing a firearm and intimidating a witness while held in Kootenai County jail—charges that stemmed from an incident in May 2024 when he pointed a firearm at his former girlfriend.
