American Legion Post 149 in Athol is opening a new pickleball court painted in red, white and blue—built with local donations—and the event will feature a ribbon-cutting and free food celebration on June 21.
Bar manager Marlene Engdahl said the court will help create a welcoming space for veterans and the community.
The city of Hayden will host its 6th annual Dog Days of Summer-Fest on Saturday, June 21 at Stoddard Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in partnership with Companions Animal Center; the free event features vendors like Kona Ice, Travelin' Tom's Coffee and local dog businesses—donations will support extra amenities at Pawfoot Dog Park and it is sponsored by ICCU.
