- ➤ The Coeur d'Alene Regional Chamber will host its 28th annual 'Wings Over Water' osprey cruise on Saturday, July 12 from 9 to 11 a.m. aboard the Mish-an-Nock at The Resort Boardwalk Marina, where participants will see migratory ospreys + other wildlife and hear from local experts on the region’s natural and cultural history. - ➤ On Tuesday, the Coeur d'Alene City Council passed a proclamation that honored Juneteenth and highlighted local Black history—Jeanette Laster noted milestones such as Jennie Eva Hughes graduating from the University of Idaho in 1899 and Dr. Thomas ‘Les’ Purce serving as Idaho’s first Black mayor. A Freedom Walk will take place at 5 p.m. Thursday starting at Fifth and Wallace and a panel discussion will be held at 11:30 a.m. to promote community inclusion. Coeur d'Alene Press

- ➤ Local Flavors—a sandwich shop and whiskey bar—opened May 3 on South Perry, where owner Steve Egger said the restaurant sold many Mint Juleps and sandwiches and plans to add burgers, smoked brisket and tasting events to grow its menu. - ➤ Marcus Felmley runs LNW Landscaping and received statewide recognition as Best Landscaper for the Panhandle Region—marking a second win for his family business after moving to Coeur d'Alene in 2021.
