Kids at the Boys and Girls Club of Kootenai County received new summer shoes Monday from Rick Case Automotive Group, which provided over 600 pairs plus 1,000 socks; 40 volunteers helped more than 450 kids get fitted shoes with extra pairs set aside for children joining in July.
The Wassmuth Center for Human Rights marked its 30th anniversary this weekend by hosting community reflections on three decades of promoting human dignity and expanding free education programs.
The ninth annual Hayden Lake Classic Boat Show will take place Sunday, June 28 at Hayden Lake Marina docks (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and is free to all, featuring U.S. and Canadian mahogany speedboats that showcase timeless craftsmanship.
Students from Kellogg and Wallace High Schools participate in the Confluence Project— a yearlong water science program that connects hands-on fieldwork with research on local waterways and snowpack measurements at Lookout Pass.
Sponsored by the University of Idaho, the program prepares them for future stewardship.
