  • Tesh received a $10,000 donation from PacificSource last month when Jaime Arnold and Chelsi Minor presented a check to its participants and staff—another $10,000 gift will be provided next spring to support classroom needs.  Coeur d'Alene Press
  • Steven 'Kyle' Hephner, the Really BIG Raffle grand prize winner, toured his new 2,033-square-foot home on Alsea Loop in Post Falls on Thursday after his winning ticket was drawn during a virtual event. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • After revoking licenses for five massage facilities amid allegations of illegal sexual conduct, the Coeur d’Alene City Council will consider amending the municipal code to improve oversight of massage establishments. The proposed changes require facility licensure applications to include copies of therapist licenses and an English-speaking representative for inspections —steps designed to better track licensed therapists and hold facilities accountable— as the council meets Tuesday.  Coeur d'Alene Press

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare issued a public health advisory on Friday morning for the northern arm of Hayden Lake near Sportsmans Park because a harmful algal bloom was found with cell counts over eight million—officials warn swimmers, fishermen, and boaters to avoid contact with the water. They advise not to drink the water and to wash off immediately if any symptoms occur.  The Spokesman-Review

  • Fernan Rod and Gun Club is hosting a Glock Sports Shooting Foundation match today and Sunday at 11600 Fernan Lake Road—international shooters will compete using their Glock pistols with up to 150 rounds per division each day.
