- ➤ David Tysdal received a hero sendoff at Kootenai Health Tuesday morning as fellow firefighters, police, family, and hospital staff cheered him on while he was moved to a rehab facility out-of-state. Wounded on June 29 during a fire on Canfield Mountain and suffering severe injuries including paralysis from the chest down — he wiggled his left foot on Sunday, showing hope for his recovery. - ➤ Hudson, Idaho Fish and Game Panhandle Region’s first K-9 Officer, is retiring after nearly 10 years with his partner Matt Haag. He was diagnosed with aggressive cancer in June and completed over 800 deployments supporting law enforcement agencies statewide—Haag said he will remain by his side until the end.
