- ➤ Idaho native and Nashville recording artist Jeremy McComb — from Post Falls — organized a benefit concert at Stateline Speedway on July 27 that raised $213,138 for families of firefighters injured at Canfield Mountain on June 29. - ➤ A federal judge in Montana ordered wildlife officials to reconsider Endangered Species Act protections for gray wolves in the West after ruling that the agency’s 2024 decision did not properly consider the species' historic range and population estimates in Idaho and Montana - the ruling directs the Fish and Wildlife Service to review its decision within 60 days amid ongoing debates over state wolf management practices.
