A 35-year-old motorcyclist from Newport, Wash, riding his Harley and wearing a helmet was seriously injured in a Saturday morning crash near Twin Lakes when his bike hit a Ford pickup turning left from W.
Village Blvd onto SH-41—Idaho State Police reported that the Coeur d’Alene driver and his three passengers were unharmed while the rider was flown by Life Flight to a local hospital.

Coeur d'Alene Fire Department is staging near seven elementary schools on Tuesday—45 minutes before school begins—to alert drivers that children will be walking to and from school.
