- ➤ Coeur d'Alene Rotary Club launched its 35th annual rose sale on Friday at The Coeur d'Alene Resort with members in football uniforms performing a skit to explain their goal of selling 1,500 dozen roses by Oct. 17 to fund scholarships and grants. - ➤ The Jess Roskelley Foundation will hold its third annual fundraiser on Thursday at Myrtle Woldson Performing Arts Center with a film showing of Trango and speeches by Christina Lustenberger and John Roskelley—an event honoring the late Spokane climber. A wildfire called the Snow Peak fire has prompted emergency trail closures near Kettle Falls, and the WA Fish and Wildlife Commission will meet online at 2 p.m. on Thursday to discuss native trout harvest and coastal steelhead rules.
