Coeur d'Alene fire chief John Fugitt led a remembrance ceremony at Fallen Heroes Plaza at Cherry Hill on Friday to honor first responders who died on 9/11, joining firefighters & police at the event.

Attendees reflected on the impact of that day and remembered those lost.

On Friday at The Coeur d'Alene Resort, the Rotary Club kicked off the Rose Sale as members rode inflatable horses to spark support for selling 1,500 dozen roses to raise over $50,000, with $30 per-dozen orders due by Oct.

15 and delivered on Oct. 23.
