CULTURE NEWS

  • ➤ Wallace's Fall for History — Decade of Dissidence Part 2 will explore the mining wars of 1892 with guided tours, panel discussions and a keynote speech starting on October 2 at a reception at the Bordello Museum. The weekend will include a presentation at the Wallace Elks Club on October 3 at 7 p.m. and bus tours on Saturday — ending with a historic building tour on Sunday.  Coeur d'Alene Press
  • ➤ Trinity Lutheran Church volunteers will prepare Norwegian flatbread for a holiday bazaar on Nov 8 using 300 pounds of potatoes and 75 pounds of flour. They will peel, rice, and boil the potatoes in the basement and cook the flatbread upstairs—aiming to produce over 200 packages of this traditional treat.  Coeur d'Alene Press
  • ➤ Faith-based theater group Waymaker Arts will perform its original musical 'Pride vs. Prejudice' at Resolute Ministries on 1165 W. Ironwood Drive Wednesday through Friday at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.—tickets cost $10 per person and $30 per family.  Coeur d'Alene Press

    Join us for a joyful evening of generosity and community at our 3rd Annual Boundless Love Banquet, featuring a delicious dinner, silent auction, raffle baskets, and stories of lives changed through the work of Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC). Come be part of our mission to break the cycle of poverty in Kootenai County by equipping local churches to serve neighbors in need with dignity and hope. The event will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Coeur d’Alene Bible Church, with doors opening at 5:30 PM and the program running from 6:00–8:00 PM. Tickets are $50 per person, so reserve your seat today and be part of something truly impactful—because love in action changes everything.
