Sunshine Silver Mining and Refining expanded its position on Monday by acquiring 14,100 acres near Pine Creek and south of Interstate 90 near Mullan—and launched a drilling program with 45,000 m planned over several years to support a return to production at the Sunshine Mine in the Silver Valley.
Last weekend, nearly 2,000 people attended Oktoberfest that boosted sales for local businesses along Sherman Avenue through pop-up pubs and in-store keggers — several businesses reported a 28-30% rise in sales.

The North Idaho Film Festival plays 42 films at Riverstone Regal Cinema from Thursday through Saturday.
