The sixth annual Jackass Half Marathon will take place Saturday with a route that starts in Wallace and ends in uptown Kellogg — organizers call on local volunteers to help run the race and offer a T-shirt, lunch, and raffle prizes.

Herb Carlson, a famous boxer from Wallace, passed away on Sept.

6—he won many titles and awards during his career. His nephew Axel recalled local bouts that drew large crowds and made Carlson a lasting part of the community.
