- ➤ More than 200 locals wearing flannel gathered last night at the Best Western Plus Coeur d'Alene Inn for the Flannel Fest Red Kettle Gala to support the Kroc Center’s outreach programs—donations went to fund local services. - ➤ On Thursday, community members filled carts with food at North Idaho Arms to restock 3rd Avenue Marketplace and then enjoyed coffee and doughnuts with Sheriff Bob Norris—Executive Director Charlene Holbrook noted the effort came as the government shutdown increased local food insecurity. - ➤ At Coeur d’Alene Public Golf Club, the Coeur d’Alene Ladies 9-Hole League donated their largest single contribution — a $4,000 check from their summer tournament — to Safety Net Inland Northwest to help young people transitioning out of foster care.
