- ➤ Local holiday markets and craft fairs will offer unique gifts and festive treats from Nov. 29 to Dec. 6 at events in Spirit Lake, Athol, Hayden and Post Falls—featuring Santa appearances, live demonstrations, and free activities designed to celebrate the season. Coeur d'Alene Press
- ➤ Tom's Turkey Drive, now in its 26th year, has served 8,500 families with Thanksgiving meal kits that include a frozen turkey, stuffing, rolls, and cranberry sauce. Volunteers helped run the drive smoothly — 9,000 in all — through a network of over 20 local food banks as families signed up ahead to pick up their meals. The Spokesman-Review

- ➤ At the Kroc Center, 14 single moms finished the Pathways to Prosperity program on Nov. 19 to learn money skills and plan their budgets. - ➤ Nurse home visitor Kelsey Chrisman said Panhandle Health programs help families in Kootenai County manage crises by providing food cards, gas cards and even appliances when working more puts vital benefits at risk—such as health insurance or childcare—and supports a strong start for their children.
