EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Monday, Dec. 8, the Mead School Board approved a policy that limits classroom decor and teacher statements promoting personal beliefs to keep classrooms neutral. The board will review the policy over the next 30 to 60 days, which has raised concerns among educators + the teacher union. The Spokesman-Review

- ➤ Post Falls Parks and Recreation Director Dave Fair fixed Winterfest sound equipment between meetings and smiled when the repair worked well. He will retire in January after 30 years during which he grew city parks from 6 to 37, and his replacement, Kris Ammerman, will take over on Jan. 1. Coeur d'Alene Press
